THE STORY
One South Wacker is a 1.2m sq. ft. building in Chicago’s West Loop, just steps from Ogilvie Transportation Center. The Telos Group LLC, leasing the space to new and existing tenants, was interested in completely renovating the lobby, creating an elegant new lounge space and welcoming new environment on the spacious rooftop deck. Collaborating with the building owner, JLL, and SCB on a number of beautifully outfitted projects throughout the years, we were also allowed the opportunity to furnish this location.
The client was interested in elevated gathering spaces that not only piqued the interest of new tenants but also encouraged existing tenants to feel at home, while on the clock. We worked closely with the SCB team on final details—including custom-designed table bases with stone tops from a local granite/stone fabricator.
Throughout the challenges 2020 brought, the unveiling of One South Wacker reveals a tranquil harmony of amenity spaces. Endless views of the expansive city, however bustling, can be seen from warm, pintuck leather couches and velvet lounge chairs. Soft reading lights and side tables provide the perfect accents for those discreet, after-hours conversations with a drink in hand and a friend close by.
